For Patients

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please call us as soon as possible on 020 8453 2050.

What to bring with you:

  • Your appointment card or letter.
  • Your personal details (address, full postcode and contact number).
  • Your GP’s name, address and telephone number.
  • Details of any medications you are currently taking.

Please complete the ‘registration information’ section on the appointment card and hand it to the clinic receptionist when you attend your appointment. This will ensure that we have your up-to-date personal details.

What will happen at the clinic:

When you arrive, please book in with the clinic receptionist.

The hospital has an appointment system, so arriving early may not mean that you will be seen sooner.

We set ourselves high standards of care and always try to make sure that you are seen by the doctor as near to the time of your appointment as possible. This should generally be within 30 minutes of your appointment time. You should be informed if there is a delay. After your appointment, you may need to have blood tests or x-rays. This means that you may have to spend longer at the hospital.

Student training and research:

All hospitals in the Trust are involved in teaching students and in research work. Student doctors or other clinical staff in training are sometimes present in the clinic. You may be asked to discuss your condition with students and allow them to examine you. You may also be asked to take part in research. If you do not feel happy about this, please tell a member of staff. You have the right to refuse.

No smoking:

The London North West Healthcare NHS Trust operates a Smokefree policy across all its buildings, grounds and vehicles, as part of a NHS-wide policy to reduce smoking-related diseases.

The Trust recognises that giving up smoking is not easy. Patients, visitors or staff who want to give up can get advice and support from:
